This report underscores business organizations' widely held positive views of immigrants role in the economy, as well as employers' understanding of the benefits and challenges of hiring immigrant workers. Findings, based on two 2024 statewide surveys, point to the importance of technical assistance to California's business organizations to expand their engagement, and California employers to support their understanding or different legal statuses and visa types. This project was a collaboration between myself, our Research and Evaluation team and Policy team.
